WHAT A RIDE.....

Click on this picture and you can see what I saw friday night at the Dodger Game......do I feel special or what?

This is my hero......today we celebrate our 26th wedding anniversery, we met and married in 6 short weeks, and everyone said it would not last 6 months....lol...and here we are....and ya know what? I'am still madly in love with this guy after all these years, more than ever. I still look foward at the end of every day when he walks thru that door, and usually he is singing. He starts his day singing and it makes my heart happy when I hear him. He bends over backwards to make me happy....and he is always thinking of new exciting things for us to do, it has been an exciting and crazy 26 years and Im so glad we decided to run off together 26 years ago and not worry about what any body else was thinking.......its been a blast!
Friday morning we took a drive down to San Diego...first stop was a little breakfast place that has not changed in 50 years, forgot to take a picture of it.....
Then..later on, a trip into Old Towne for chips and quacamole at the old town Mexican Cafe, BEST in old town...then onto the hotel...later we took a spin around town on the trolley ..we wanted to check out PETCO stadium where later we would have 2nd row seats right above the dodger dugout for the Dodger game.......Mannys first night back so the place was loaded with dodger fans, we felt right at home. We even had a newscaster interview us...and Joe had a message put on the scoreboard for me that said ..I love you with all my heart, happy anniversery...I got a pic of it, I hope you can see the words.....
Its was a great night, we sat about 20 feet from Larry King and he kept asking hubby to start a chant about BEAT SD....I think he was trying to start something since he is a huge dodger fan. His beautiful wife was with him, and I spent 2 innings just staring at her ring!

Tonight we are gong to my fav restaurant for dinner.........thanks Joe for the best life ever!!!!! I adore you!

Got together with Nancy nobloglast saturday to sew....we were hoping our other sista could join us but she said something about it being too far for her to drive?????? we missed her and she was there with us in spirit! Cali will never be there same without you!

Notice the piles of fabric squares....guess which one is mine....lolololololo

Scrappy/Sewing room

As promised, pics of my sewing room, all done....pardon the shots of me in there, but I had to take pics into the mirror, its a small room, and the project table takes most of the room up, but there is a lot of space in the shelves.....
I could not fit everything in the so I still have a big cupboard in the garage holding fabric and paper......I think I just have too much stuff!!!!!!
Its a happy room......I do like to stand up to scrap so the table is perfect, I can sit to sew or stand to scrap.
The yellow Ikea cabinet is the one I put together all by myself....I LOVE it........I do still have some room in it, hopefully for all the quilts I will be making:)
whatta ya think?

Lots of "stuff"

I cleaned out my garage yesterday and while I was at it I washed this cute little convertible, I think I will take it our for a spin while its still cool enough, soon it will be too hot......

This is what Im working on right now, Sharongave it to me when she moved, all I have to do is sew everything down, I want it done by the 4th of July....any bets?

For Fathers Day all Joe wanted was some pics of his beloved pets....here it is.....

Look how my garden grows!

I was supposed to go to Glen Ivy Spa today and relax all day, but its tooooooo cold...here in Southern Cal its toooooo cold!!!!!

I had a few over ripe bananas hanging around attracting fruit flies yesterday so I made a cake!!!!!

Summer reading.......I admit I have no grandbabies yet but when I do I need to make quilts, and this book is adorable....love it!

Heres Chelsey and Joe on Fathers Day......
Today I plan on putting the finishing touches on my new sewing room....I will post pics soon!

Some cool bling.....

My new favorite saying.......

If you haven't tried these Rainier cherries from Costco.....do try them....heaven!
I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa of Vintage Bling fame.....yesterday...I had worked with a gal that was wearing the coolest bracelet, made from vintage enamel earrings, and I asked her WHERE did you get that...turns out the artist lives right here in my town. I emailed her and she graciously invited me over to her home.....which by the way was amazing....and we hit it off right away. She makes the coolest jewerly...click on her name and it will take you to her site......I could not decide which one I wanted so I bought THREE!!!! You know how much I love daisys!!!! These pieces are art! I thought it was adorable that her little girl made me a bracelet out of pipecleaners while I was there, and also played a song on the piano for me!

Aren't they so cool!!!!

Uff Dah..........

In case you do not know what uff dah means, its Norweigian for I cannot believe I put together 3 pieces of furniture by myself, and Im so glad Im done! Its what you say when you throw your rather ample ass onto a chair and you just are so glad you are done....Uff dah.....it has many meanings........let me just say this, if I ever want to buy another piece of furniture that has to be put together, knock me upside the head.

BUT I do love the red bench from Ikea.........so I moved my cute little oak $5.00 at a yard sale piece down the hall and put the red bench in its place........
So now all thats left is lugging the other Ikea piece, that darling yellow, not so little, cabinet up the stairs, that I CANNOT do by myself..as soon as I get it up there, I will show you....
The weather here in Cali has been odd to say the least...downright cold today, and the sun did not come out AGAIN....June gloom has taken on a whole new meaning around here...BUT Im not going to complain about the cool weather, I will be complaining about the heat soon enough.
